Inmade are excited to announce that we have partnered with 'Radical Recruit' as part of our social mission to support the rehabilitation of people with convictions. Since Inmade was formed, we have been searching for an organisation that aligns with our values and wants to help people with criminal convictions on their path to rehabilitation. It was important for us to find a partner that truly believed that the skills and talents of any disadvantaged person should be harnessed and appreciated by the rest of society. When we learned about this organisation and their social mission, we had no reservations in reaching out to them to propose a partnership.
Radical Recruit is a progressive recruitment agency that supports disadvantaged individuals that have been marginalised by society. They aim to eradicate the labels that society have placed on them, and focus on empowering individuals through focusing on their unique skills and talents. They represent those who are unrepresented by challenging ingrained beliefs and proving that their candidates are just as deserving of employment opportunities as every other person.
"Radical supports people with a conviction as they strive to make better lives for themselves and their families. People from this marginalised community have enormous potential but the sad reality is that their potential is overlooked because they are viewed through a lens of mistrust; perceived as antisocial or lacking skills to secure and sustain meaningful paid employment. Subsequently, our candidates are refused access to the labour market and discarded on a talent scrap heap; denied the opportunity to become contributing and valued members of society
. We are delighted to be partnering with Inmade to represent candidates who courageously take action to regain control of their futures through employment and of course the making of beautiful wine!"
Emma Freivogel, Founder, Radical Recruit
Inmade have made a commitment to donate 10% of each purchase that customers make on our website to Radical Recruit. This could range from the purchase of a case of wine sourced from prisons in Lisbon, to our premium hampers that include a range of products made from those who have experienced the criminal justice system. Radical Recruit will be able to use this money to provide more amazing support to people who experience disadvantage, including people with criminal convictions.
Emily McCormick, Inmade's Co-founder says: "It is so important to the team at Inmade to know that part of our profits are being reinvested into supporting people who are marginalised by society. When a customer makes a purchase with Inmade, they are both valuing the individual that worked so hard to produce that product, and also contributing to a wider effort to place people with convictions into employment."
Inmade will be posting regular updates about this wonderful new partnership. There will be several milestones to celebrate in the near future, from Inmade's first ever donation, to our first case study regarding the impact our support has had on Radical Recruit's mission. We could not be more pleased to have teamed up with this organisation, and can't wait to see what 2021 brings.
